These are recommendations for using your blanket.
DO NOT USE WITH ANY LINIMENT OR HEAT CREATING MEDICINES except Equilite's SORE NO MORE. Sore No More Products are the ONLY products that should be used with our magnetic products. We recommend using Sore No More for greater results. Simply wipe your horse down with the Sore No More then place your blanket on your horse. The Sore No More Wipes work great under the tendon, hock, and knee wraps.
If liniment or heat creating medicines have been used, wait 72 hours for medicines to dissipate before using Blanket. Wash animal several times during this time to help dissipate the medicines form the animals system.
By not following this procedure it could cause blistering or irritation to the animals system.
As with any new blanket or therapy, please do not just place on horse first time and leave horse. The blanket will increase circulation and therefore the horse may have itchy spots.
In order for the blanket to provide any therapeutic benefit it must be left on for a minimum of 20 minutes. You can leave them on up to 24 hours at a time as well. Each horse can require a different amount of therapy time. Just experiment to find the correct usage time for your horse. Some need them more some less. If you will just watch your horse he will tell you.
Using your Blanket:
Yes you can leave it on your horse in the sun.
Yes you can put it on your horse when they or the blanket is wet.
Yes you can put it on your horse when he is eating.
Yes you can haul your horse in it.
Basically you can use your blanket anytime you feel that your horse will benefit from it
.Wash blankets on in warm or cold water in washing machine, no bleach, and line dry. We use Tide with Oxyclean and fabric softener when we wash ours.
