Question: Why are your prices so much lower than Nikken and other Magnetic Companies?
Answer: We manufacture many of our own products and buy the balance directly from the source. We market our products direct to the customer and through individual PHT Magnetic Resellers. Nikken and others are Multi-Level type of marketing companies that sells exclusively through distributors. In a Multi-Level Company there are at least 6 layers of distributors to pay off on each sale, plus the company itself. This marketing method dictates their high prices.
Question: How do your magnetic supports compare to the similar Nikken product, "Elastomag"?
Answer: PHT Magnetic supports use all North Pole ceramic magnets (the strongest available). The Nikken product, "Elastomag", uses a neoprene-like magnetic material with a bipolar pattern identical to their "Magstep" insoles. The strength is less than 50% of the ceramic magnets and due to the self-inducting nature of bipolar patterns, the depth of penetration is extremely limited.
Question: Why does the bipolar pattern produce a shallow magnetic penetration?
Answer: Bipolar means both magnetic poles are present on the same side of the magnet. Since opposite poles attract, the poles are quite busy attracting each other, thus the magnetic effect is concentrated very close to the surface of the magnet. This magnetic effect is known as "self-inducting". In measurements with a gauss meter at 3/8", the magnetic effect of this bipolar material has diminished to 2 gauss where a unipole ceramic magnet would still produce 2 gauss at a distance of 3". This was a significant fact in a recent double blind clinical trial using this type of bipolar back pad on low back pain. The study proved inconclusive, and the lack of positive results can be attributed to the low strength of the bipolar product and the limited penetration depth of the bipolar magnetic field.

Can I use refrigerator magnets for healing?
The magnets on your refrigerator are alternating poles. This is used for holding strength, not therapeutic strength.
